Update on Missing Garsen MP for 2023
Internet users are awaiting an update on Garsen MP Missing. They were traveling on a boat with sixteen passengers.
They were found in the early hours of the morning in the Feji area after becoming lost.
After floods destroyed their communities, the Kenya Red Cross is still trying to evacuate the people who are still in need.
The MPs and their aides got lost in the river on their trip to Garsen. They had left a flood victim food distribution event.
At 10:30 p.m., journalist Lizah Mutuku shared a video of the MPs requesting emergency aid on her X platform.
“We are lost and in the middle of nowhere.” On our way back from a rescue mission in the Mnazini region today, we got lost in the river.
As a result, we have no clue where to go and are lost in the middle of the ocean. Right now, we don’t know where we are,” Wario said.
Kindiki said, “A passenger in the boat that vanished earlier this evening in the waters of Tana River has been in contact with security agencies.”
All eighteen passengers and the crew are okay as of right now, however they are stranded at an undisclosed place. The Kenya Coast Guard is in charge of a multi-agency search and rescue effort this evening.
Has Ali Wario Been Found?
Two MPs and two ward representatives were lost in Tana River on Saturday night, but they were located and safely recovered.
The four MPs and seven other individuals are said to have been on a food distribution trip in the county before their boat disappeared.
A group from the Kenya Red Cross organization searched early on Sunday morning and found Garsen MP Ali Wario and his colleague Said Hiribae from Galole.
The Area County Commissioner said in his update that the lawmakers were found at a place called Fiji before being evacuated to safety.
The heavy rains that have been pummeling much of the country for the last several days have caused the Tana River to overflow.
