Geoff and Nancy Perry, gold medalists in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, gave birth to Corey Perry. Perry, who had clubfoot when he was six months old, had promised his mother that he would play for her on TV one day.

Corey’s younger brother, Adam Perry, goes by AJ. They were avid supporters of the Canadiens, with a particular fondness for Denis Savard and Vincent Damphousse.
