Slovenian professional racer Urka Igart presently competes for UCI Women’s WorldTeam Team Jayco-AlUla. Urska Zigart competed in the Giro Rosa and Tour de l’Ardeche in 2020, winning the Slovenian National Time Trial Championships.
Urska Zigart finished third in the Slovenian National Road Race Championships, behind Ura Pintar and Pela Kern of the Lviv Cycling Team.
In November 2020, Igart agreed to a contract with the Mitchelton-Scott squad, afterward renamed squad BikeExchange, for the 2021 season.

During the sixth stage of the Tour of Italy for Women, Urska Zigart collapsed. The Slovenian had to abandon the tour as a consequence of suffering a concussion. The seventh stage will not include her.
Niedermaier was forced to withdraw from the Giro Donne after colliding with Jayco-AlUla’s Urka Igart.
Igart, who was riding to Niedermaier’s left, suddenly lost control of her bike and accelerated toward the Canyon-SRAM racer, despite not having many cyclists around the German. This caused them to collide.
Thirty kilometers from the finish line, the Slovenian lost her equilibrium. In addition to multiple cuts and scratches, the 26-year-old Jayco-AlUla biker also had a mild concussion.
Igart’s team Jayco-AlUla claims that she has abrasions, and a concussion, and will be closely monitored. The team doctor also reported that Urka suffered a concussion and some minor skin abrasions.
The gang will now keep a close eye on her till she completely recovers.
The Canyon-SRAM team of Niedermaier did not disclose the extent of her injuries and said they would first offer future medical information.
But subsequently, Niedermaier’s team Canyon-SRAM said that while she had broken teeth, she had no fractures.
On Thursday, she will return to Germany. She was evaluated at Cuneo Hospital, where it was discovered that she had no fractures.
Despite some damage to her teeth, it had been repaired. According to a medical update from the team, she will go back to Germany tomorrow.
What Occurred In The Crash Of The Giro Donne?
On Stage 5 of the 2023 Giro Donne, Elisa Longo Borghini (Lidl-Trek) and Annemiek van Vleuten (Movistar Team) fell out of the competition for the Maglia Rosa.
Following his loss of the overall second place, Longo Borghini eventually made the decision not to begin stage 6 on Wednesday.
The day was chaotic, but 20-year-old German rider Antonia Niedermaier of Canyon-SRAM won Stage 5 to move up to second before Stage 6. The 120.7-kilometer Stage 6 event had its starting and finishing points at Canelli.
However, Niedermaier and Urka Igart of Jayco-AlUla were both injured in an accident the day after Niedermaier won an important stage in her Giro Donne debut, necessitating their withdrawal from the contest.
On Wednesday, with around 34 kilometers left, Niedermaier joined the elite group that had developed over the top of the first significant climb and had been seeming strong all day.
The smaller cyclists chased after Elinor Barker and Petra Stiasny, the two breakout riders, as the track leveled off.
The cyclist wearing the best young rider white jersey, Niedermaier, was positioned behind that pack.
Few cyclists were near the German, but Igart, who was on Niedermaier’s left, suddenly lost control of her bike and accelerated directly into the Canyon-SRAM racer, causing the two of them to collide.
Following what looked to be a horrific fall, Niedermaier could be seen holding her bloodied face in live images.
