Lively Dick Bart and Carmen Dick are the parents of Kansas. Riley, Brodey, and Kelsey are his three siblings.
His mother played professionally for Iowa State in collegiate basketball. a participant on the American squad that captured the gold medal at 2021 Under 18 3-on-3 World Cup in Hungary in the summer of that year. He enjoys fishing, creating TikToks, watching scary movies, and doing anything active. Gradey can also do a backflip and speak in Donald Duck’s voice.

Dick attended the Wichita Collegiate School in Wichita, Kansas, for his first two years of high school. In his final season of competition for the school, Dick averaged 20 points per game and qualified for the state playoffs. Dick moved on to Sunrise Christian Academy. He averaged 18 points per game while playing for the school in his senior year.
Dick was included in the rosters for both the McDonald’s All-American Game and the Nike Hoop Summit. On March 22, 2022, Dick was given the Gatorade National Player of the Year award.
