Police in Los Angeles said that American rapper Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed close to a clothes store he was connected to. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to CNN that two additional people were hurt in the incident that occurred at 3:20 p.m. on Sunday.

The altercation happened near a clothing store connected to the rapper, close to Crenshaw Boulevard and Slauson Avenue. The department said in a tweet that it doesn’t know anything about the suspect.

Last tweet from the rapper said, “Having strong foes is a blessing.”

Hussle established the music company All Money In in 2010 and launched it with the release of “The Marathon,” the rapper’s fifth official mixtape. According to his Press Atlantic Records profile, his 2013 “Crenshaw” album sold more than 1,000 cassettes for $100 apiece.

He performed around the nation the following year as part of his Crenshaw Tour. Numerous prominent musicians, including Kendrick Lamar, Drake, YG, Ty Dolla Sign, Meek Mill, and Young Thug, collaborated with Nipsey Hussle.

Numerous famous people posted their shock and condolences on social media after learning of his passing, according to CNN. Pop singer Rihanna tweeted, “This has shaken my spirit. “Dear God, grant eternal comfort to all of his loved ones, and may his soul rest in peace. I am truly sorry for what occurred to you.”

Rapper Ice Cube tweeted, “Sad, outraged, and disappointed about my guy.”

Hussle and Drake have previously worked together, and Drake recently met the musician for the “first time in years,” according to an Instagram post he made. They agreed to collaborate on a new song this year.
