In the season finale of The Act, viewers finally got to meet Gypsy Rose’s father, Rod Blanchard. The father and daughter’s estranged relationship was shown in the television program. This is not the case, however.
Rod, Rose’s father and his daughter had an excellent connection since he petitioned to have her daughter freed from jail. For organizing her mother’s murder with her lover, Rose was sentenced to prison.
Similar to Gypsy, who spent 10 years of her childhood living with her father until her parents split up.
When Rod first encountered Clauddine in high school, he was seventeen. Dee Dee was the same age, twenty-four years old.
They began dating and developed a close relationship. Rose was born to Dee Dee and Rose just six months into their relationship.
Rod made the best choice and chose to wed her. Gypsy’s parents, on the other hand, didn’t get along, and the couple decided to call off the wedding.
Despite their divorce, Rod and his daughter had a cordial relationship for a while. Even as child support, Gypsy’s father gave her mother a $1200 monthly stipend.
Additionally, Rod said that Clauddine had lied about him to her neighbors, accusing him of being a drug addict and a violent spouse.
Thankfully, Kristy, Rod Blanchard’s second wife, has a different account of her husband. She said that Dee declined to inform Rod about the location and health of the Gypsy. Mia Blanchard is the daughter of Rod and Kristy.
Both Gypsy Rose and their parents had challenges when they were growing up. As a result, the family’s situation became worse and finally made the news for all its transgressions.
The Gypsy Rose Family is Involved
Quite a messed-up narrative is presented by Gypsy Rose’s weird family, which is very intriguing.
The Act on Hulu is based on a true story involving Rose and her family. The program also depicts the dynamics inside the family.
Gypsy said that Dee Dee Blanchard, her mother, suffered from Munchausen syndrome. So, her mother made up several ailments Gypsy had.
In addition, Rose, the accused, thought she had been unwell for a long time even though she had always been healthy.
Mother and daughter’s arguments got more heated, and Rose ultimately persuaded her ex-boyfriend Nick to kill her mother.
Rose believed that when her mother passed away, she would be free. But the reverse was true.
But things couldn’t get much stranger for Rose and her family. After a long absence, Rose’s father finally arrived and expressed admiration for her accusing daughter.
Additionally, to avoid being executed, she phoned her father and requested a copy of her medical records. In her last hours, her estranged Father came to the rescue.
Does the whole tale of her family seem like the plot of a movie? But hold on, it did occur in real life. Jesus!
