The World Is My Oyster, LE SSERAFIM’s first documentary, revealed a new trainee named Haruka, who was shown learning choreography and preparing for her debut with the girl group. The documentary revealed new information about the FEARLESS female group, such as the difficulties and trials they faced prior to making their debut with Source Music and HYBE.
One of the surprises was a large amount of previously unseen footage of a trainee named Haruka. In the first episode, she was preparing for monthly assessments, analyzing feedback, and practicing with Sakura, Chaewon, and Yunjin. Her dream of making her debut, however, was cut short when she was dropped from the premiere lineup for no apparent reason.

The World Is My Oyster, LE SSERAFIM’s debut documentary, introduced the world to some of the old and new harsh realities that a K-pop idol group faces before their debut, including the selection process, giddiness, evaluations, constructive feedback, training, and, most importantly, the company staff responsible for creating a successful idol group.
Management Squad Leader Kim Hyeong-eun stated in the documentary that nothing is official until the debut team actually debuts. As the Team Leader stated, being in the debut lineup does not guarantee a debut, and this was true for Haruka, a Japanese trainee chosen in the final LE SSERAFIM lineup.
Sakura described the Japanese trainee as “quite young” when the news of her removal from the debut lineup became public. The trainee’s naive appearance gave the impression that she was the team’s youngest member. In the film, the trainee is also seen receiving criticism from Performance Director (PD) Park So-yeon for her posture, emotions, and dancing, with the PD stating that she is extremely lively. Other members’ significantly more critical feedback was also provided.
Except for a few basic facts, little is known about Haruka. Netizens believe the companies are planning something because Source Music and HYBE featured her in the remark while completely removing Garam (who was ousted from the group when bullying claims arose within a few weeks). According to @bellaAria 06, a Twitter user, the young Japanese trainee still does not have any social media profiles.
Trainees are not permitted to have internet accounts because they may reveal sensitive information. If a trainee has one, they are instructed to turn it off or stow it away when not in use.
Haruka is expected to appear in I-LAND 2
Survival audition events are a great way for aspiring K-pop groups and trainees to gain exposure. It allows trainees to demonstrate their abilities and personalities to the rest of the world. Similarly, netizens believe HYBE’s inclusion in LE SSERAFIM’s documentary The World Is My Oyster lays the groundwork for Haruka.
In September of last year, HYBE debuted the female version of I-LAND, a collaborative survival show with Mnet. The first season gave birth to the now-famous ENHYPEN, which became the fastest million-seller before the show’s first anniversary. Four of the program’s brightest trainees took part in &AUDITION – The Howling as premiere members. Along with five other trainees, they will make their debut as &TEAM in December of this year.
Many people believe that the documentary’s purpose was to introduce viewers to Haruka, whose young age and abilities make her a formidable participant in I-LAND 2. Others agree with Team Leader Kim Hyeong-remarks eun’s. According to a few tweets about Haruka, she may not be able to fit LE SSERAFIM’s strong, powerful image, and HYBE may have a place for her in the next I-LAND 2 female group.
There isn’t much information about the young Japanese trainee available, but one thing is certain: a K-pop behemoth like HYBE doesn’t make mistakes when presenting a student to the public. It’ll be interesting to see where Haruka winds up.
