Many people have speculated that South Korea’s first lady Kim Kun-hee may have undergone cosmetic surgery. She allegedly acknowledged having surgery.
Sohn Hye-won, a former legislator, uploaded her before and after photos, giving the impression that she had undergone plastic surgery. Sohn commented, “I see her irises have grown larger.”
On Sohn’s Facebook post, left-leaning prosecutor Jin Hye-won added a remark claiming that Kim’s bottom chin is artificially created to protrude slightly.
He claimed that Kim is an illustration of cosmetic surgery “raising feminine attraction and self-esteem.”
The comments received heavy criticism for being face-shaming and misogynistic.
However, it is indisputable that Kim looks fantastic for someone in their fifties.

A Chi-hwan, a rock artist from South Korea, reportedly mocked Kim Keon-hee with his rock song Lady Who Looks Like Michael Jackson on February 11, 2022.
Yoon Suk-year, the leading opposition candidate for the People Power Party (PPP), who was running for president at the time, erupted in rage when he heard the song because it made fun of his wife.
On February 14, Yoon told reporters that he felt bad for his wife and that his political campaign was subjecting her to unfair criticism.
Later on, he lambasted the musician for “crossing certain lines that even freedom of expression should take as common sense” and for launching an unwarranted assault that incited sexism.
The current president continued, saying it was disrespectful to Jackson as well, describing him as “a great musician who sincerely took care of people all over the world.”
On February 15, the singer reacted by saying that it was meant to satirize Choi Soon-Sil, the person credited with being the “behind-the-curtains mastermind” of the 2016 South Korean political crisis.
A Chi-hwan continued, stating he welcomed all interpretations and critiques, and that it was up to the listeners to assess and understand it.
