Her parents’ first meeting happened when and how?
Her parents first met in 2008 through a mutual acquaintance at a café in Los Angeles. In 2018, Emily discussed their first meeting on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
She claimed she was with a companion when they first encountered each other at the same restaurant, while John was with his friend, the actor Justin Theroux. When Gray saw John, she said, “Oh my God, that’s my pal John,” leaving Justin behind and approaching them alone. All he managed to do was make Gray giggle.
They got married on July 10, 2010, in a secret ceremony at George Clooney’s home in Lake Como, Italy, less than a year after they started dating.
Why would her parents want her sister and to be unaware of their fame?
Hazel and Violet don’t know how well-known their parents are. Additionally, their mother does not want their children to learn too much. Emily revealed to The Sunday Times that she learned something new from her child.
Hazel allegedly asked her if she was famous, which astonished her because she had never heard of her and had never used that term in their family because they had never talked about it. She responded by saying she didn’t believe so and inquiring as to whether or not she had been informed.
After saying “Yeah,” Hazel remained silent, although stating that she found the situation odd. She went on to say that she would be thrilled if her girls could remain uninformed for as long as possible because she doesn’t want them to feel more special or more important than other kids.
She added that her daughters detest watching her work and loathe it when she wears makeup. They merely desire to have her as their mother.
Hazel has great comedic timing and is hilarious. On Ellen’s show in 2020, when questioned about what Hazel was doing, her father, John, said that at the age of five and a half, Hazel was already displaying comic skills. He said, “She always makes me chuckle.”
After ten years of marriage, he said, he had the funny moment where he got the idea for a picture wall. The ladies came over and complimented him, saying he was doing a great job, so he went out and bought all the brand-new frames, unwrapped them, and then put them on the ground before hanging them on the wall.
Then Hazel murmured, leaning on his shoulder, “This is amazing. Don’t you think you ought to show pictures of us? Then he continued, “It was all the fake families in the frames.” I think she was very worried that I was going crazy, he laughed.
Her younger sibling exists
Violet, Violet’s younger sister who is two years younger, has an older sister named Hazel. On Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2016, Emily discussed Hazel’s initial reaction after learning she would have an older sibling.
Hazel glanced up at mom and answered, “Nope,” when she first announced that there was a baby inside and that she would be a big sister. Then they went out and bought her every copy of I Am a Big Sister they could find. She also acknowledged that the mother’s relationship with her first child alters the most.
