Since 2019, Jake Muzzinis has played professionally with the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League as a defenseman.

His cervical spine ailment forced him to leave the game after only a few minutes, according to news reports about his last play.
The team said on Monday that Muzzin will be sidelined indefinitely due to a cervical spine injury and will undergo another evaluation in February, or about three months from now.
He might not have the exact timing because the team said he might require extra time to heal from the injury.
Hopefully, we will see him during the upcoming season because the doctor he saw said that he may return to the field after three months.
Last season, he also had several health problems, so the doctor advised him to take a break.
