Football fans are curious about Lovie Smith’s whereabouts after his dismissal.
Smith was appointed head coach after serving as the team’s defensive coordinator for a single season. In his career, which spanned nine seasons with the Bears and two with Tampa Bay, he had a 92-100-1 record. Smith was in charge for the 12th time in 2022.
The Texans will have their fourth head coach in as many seasons after his dismissal. After losing the first four games of his seventh season in Houston in 2020, coach Bill O’Brien was fired, and Culley was hired to take over.
Twice before, the Texans have sacked a coach after only one season. Before being fired, Dom Capers led the club for four seasons as its first head coach. After taking over, Gary Kubiak was fired after eight seasons.
