According to rumors, Shookus is quitting just as she was about to be promoted. Shookus has been a longtime member of the show and a six-time Emmy Award winner. According to a Page Six source

“Lindsay has worked on the show for the past 20 years as a producer.” These are disturbing stuff. Although she was offered another part on the show, she declined.

Following her departure from SNL, Shookus said on Instagram that she had decided to forgo the crazy nightlife in favor of leaving the show.

The role of producer for Saturday Night Live, for which Lindsay Shookus has been nominated for ten Emmys, is most known for her. On 30 Rock, she also served as an associate producer. Internet sources estimate the 42-year-old old’s worth to be between $2 and $5 million as of November 2022.

She has made a significant amount of money via her work as a television producer, while specific details regarding her holdings are still unclear. Robert, Lindsay’s father, was a manufacturer’s representative business owner, and Christine, Lindsay’s mother, was a pharmaceutical sales representative. Her siblings consist of an older brother and a younger sister.

In her junior and senior years at Williamsville South High School, Lindsay held the position of class president. After that, Shookus enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she graduated in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.

On Saturday Night Live, she later served as Marci Klein’s assistant. In the end, Lindsay joined the staff of SNL as an associate producer, and from 2008 to 2010, she worked on 45 episodes of the satirical sitcom 30 Rock.

Later, in 2010 and 2012, Lindsay Shookus worked for SNL as a producer and co-producer. Together with choosing the cast members, she was also in charge of choosing the hosts and sending out invitations to guests.

Later, she and her friend Kristin O’Keeffe Merrick co-hosted a networking event in New York called Women Work F***ing Hard. The occasion aimed to inspire female business owners to help one another flourish.

After that, Shookus gained notoriety for her 2017–2018 long-distance relationship with actor Ben Affleck. Affleck has hosted Saturday Night Live five times since 2000, and they dated once more in 2019. Before that, she wed producer Kevin Miller in 2010, and in 2013 they welcomed a daughter named Madeline. 2014 saw the couple’s divorce.
