Spice’s Salary
Spice is the stage name of Jamaican singer, songwriter, and record producer Grace Latoya Hamilton. The 40-year-old was a Chartered Accountant before going into the music industry. She has an estimated net worth of $5 million because of her work in the music industry and other business endeavors.
The Grammy-winning performer was up in Portmore, where she frequently attended services and sang in the choir. After spending time in the UK, Spice relocated to her hometown and got involved in the local music scene.
The Family Reunion: Love & Hip Hop Edition star started giving local performances after earning a degree from Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts.
Spice first performed at the Sting dancehall festival in 2000, but she is now one of the most well-known dancehall artists in the world. As a result, she was able to gain momentum and establish herself. Spice didn’t get fame for her songs, though, until much later.
Spice and Vybz Kartel’s debut single, Romping Shop, was made available in 2009. The actress from Family Reunion: Love & Hip Hop Edition met Baby Chum, another dancehall performer, while she was in London and they previously collaborated.
The artist connected her to Dave Kelly, who assisted in the 2003 release of her debut song, Complaint. The Queen of Dancehall took a break after the birth of her kid. But she came back with a fury and continued to collaborate with numerous businesses and performers.
Even though Romping Shop was deemed controversial and eventually made illegal in Jamaica, it is still one of the most well-known dancehall songs ever.
Gappy Rank, Missy Elliott, Mya, Busta Rhymes, Bunji Garlin, ASAP Ferg, Jax Jones, Sean Kingston, Lady Leshurr, and Charlie Sloth are just a few of the musicians with whom the Family Reunion: Love & Hip Hop Edition star has worked.
She opened Spicey Couture in 2009, and it will close in 2020. The So Mi Like It singer also opened her beauty salon in 2010 and has since developed several businesses that have boosted her wealth.
The singer’s company, Faces & Laces, which started in 2019 as a wig brand, has also broadened its horizons and is now able to provide its customers with various cosmetic products.
Spice first joined the cast of the show while the cast was vacationing in her home nation. As the original cast members get ready for a global reunion in Season 3 of Family Reunion: Love & Hip Hop Edition on VH1, she will now journey to Jamaica with them.
