American rock legend Huey Lewis was identified as having Meniere’s disease in 2018, which affects the inner ear and results in hearing loss.

The fact that he was a musician made the condition very challenging for him. But because of his loved ones and supporters, he continues to be upbeat about his prognosis.
His family has been his most powerful support system and the reason he has fared successfully with his condition after his diagnosis.
His kids cared for him
He acknowledged that his two children had been there for him throughout the sickness in an interview with The Big Issue. He asserted that his son had grown to be his best buddy and had been keeping an eye on him.
In addition, he acknowledged that he has a serious illness, he is still glad because some people have it worse than he does. Additionally, his supporters have been immensely positive, which is everything an artist could ask for.
He Divorced His Wife And Allegedly Had A Girlfriend
Lewis wed Sidney Conroy in 1983. It was clear from their quick divorce that their marriage did not last more than six years. He views them as “still pals” because of the amicable way in which their romance ended.
In addition, he acknowledged the cause of their divorce: he spent a lot of time away from home during the height of his career. Conroy was consequently left in charge of everything at home, including their two kids.

Huey and his band performed in Dallas in January 2018 there. He put on his in-ear monitor and then realized he couldn’t hear anything. After this episode, he was given a Meniere’s illness diagnosis.
This issue causes regular fluctuations in his hearing. His hearing often falls between a 3 and a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10. He is profoundly profoundly profoundly profoundly deaf. He is hopeful that things will get better since, on good days, his hearing becomes better, sometimes for weeks at a time.

I’m hoping to get my hearing back so we can reassemble the band and perform live once more, but I’m not sure whether I’ll ever be able to. I’m making the most of my creativity in the interim. Even if he can’t sing along with the music, he’s nonetheless upbeat about going back on stage.
