For nearly a decade, Jemaine Clement has been married to Miranda Manasiadis. The lovely journey of the couple began in college. They first met while Clement was studying cinema and theater at Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand.
Following their first meeting, their romance blossomed, and the couple maintained their long-term relationship. After years of dating, they tied the knot, taking their romance to the next level.
Clement got married to his wife,In 2008
Clement married his long-term college girlfriend in a Los Angeles registrar’s office in 2008. The famous actor, according to Stuff, took a short break from writing the second season of his show, Flight of the Conchords, to marry his girlfriend. The ceremony was small and intimate, with only a few close friends in attendance.
Bret McKenzie, Clement’s lone band member, was present. Clement and his wife are both co-stars and romantic partners. The married couple worked together on the Kiwi feature comedy Eagle versus Shark in 2007. Clement’s wife comes from the entertainment industry, of course.
She has starred in a number of films, including Girl vs. Boy, Realiti, and Nude Tuesday. Having said that, Manasiadis is better known for her stage work than her television appearances. She works with independent and experimental theatre companies and has appeared as a lead in many Circa and Bats productions.
She was even a co-founder of several of Wellington’s most prestigious theater companies, including Afterburner Production, Jealous Theatre Company, and Open Book Theatre Company. Manasiadis has worked as a dramaturg, concept designer, and designer in Wellington, New York, and Athens over the course of her career.
Clement, Jemaine Clement and Manasiadis’ children have been together for 13 years. The couple had one child. They welcomed their only son, Sophocles Iraia Manasiadis Clement, also known as Sopho, into the world in New York in October 2008. Their child was named after members of their family, according to Stuff magazine.
Sophocles is the name of Manasiadis’ Greek grandfather, and Iraia is the name of Clement’s grandparents. Sopho emerged during the second season of Clement’s popular comedy series Flight of the Conchords. The 47-year-old said he enjoyed being a parent in a February 2021 interview with Stuff.
He described having a child as the best decision he had ever made. “I adore it,” he said at the end of the discussion. Clement, his wife, and their now-13-year-old son live in Los Angeles, keeping their family problems out of the public eye. They rarely appear together in public or discuss family issues on social media.
