Spencer Petras, an American college football player, plays quarterback for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Spencer was raised by his parents, Sarah and Adam Petras, who are also his siblings.
He was named Conference Player of the Year and Metro Player of the Year as a senior. He was also selected for the first-team all-conference and was named the team’s offensive MVP as a junior.
Over the course of three seasons, he led his prep team to a 35-5 record and three trips to the state playoffs.
He was chosen along with seven other sophomores to be a part of the 2020 Leadership Group. Spencer participated in the spring 2018 semester and practice.

Spencer Petras is not off to the best start in the Ohio State game. The fans started to chant for him to be removed from the field after two errors in the first half.
Petras threw an interception on the first play of the contest. Iowa gained a 7-3 advantage after forcing Ohio State’s attack to settle for a field goal and a scoop-and-score by Joe Evans.
After then, Petras dropped the ball, and everything went wrong. The followers immediately started tweeting about Petras. He struggled to complete passes early on, going 0-3 with interceptions and fumbles that were lost.
If this keeps up, Iowa supporters could see Alex Padilla join the game. Brian Ferentz, the offensive coordinator and son of Kirk Ferentz, does not agree with the possibility of switching the starting quarterback.
