Sen. Ben Cardin’s Gay Staffer Video Goes Viral

Capitol Hill has been rocked by the aftermath of the controversy involving Sen. Ben Cardin’s former junior assistant, Aidan Maese-Czeropski.

A sexually graphic film purportedly starring Maese-Czeropski was released in segments by the Daily Caller, which sparked the issue.

Ben is not included in the publicly released video. Although the staffer’s identity was not revealed in the first reports, Aidan Maese-Czeropski was eventually named by conservative media as one of the people in the contentious video.

Following the controversy, Sen. Cardin’s office announced Maese-Czeropski’s resignation from the U.S. Senate in a brief statement:

The U.S. Senate no longer employs Aidan Maese-Czeropski. We won’t be commenting more on this employee issue.

In response to the accusations, Maese-Czeropski wrote on LinkedIn about the difficulties he had encountered as well as the times he had acted with bad judgment.

He said that he loved his employment and was committed to treating his workplace with respect, even though he did not either affirm or deny his participation in the video.

He also alluded to looking into legal alternatives to refute what he believed to be false accounts of his activities.

In addition to the dispute at work, there have been further reports that Maese-Czeropski harassed Representative Max Miller in a corridor in the Capitol.

The case became much more complicated when the accused refuted these accusations.
