Is Brendan Fraser Detained on Abuse Charges?
Fraser, who has not yet been detained, said that Philip Berk, the HFPA’s (Hollywood Foreign Press Association) then-president, had molested him.
When Fraser offered to shake Berk’s hand, Berk allegedly confronted him and touched Berk’s buttocks inappropriately.

Fraser said he was going to try and felt helpless since he believed it was customary for him to do so to everyone.
He said he refrained from calling the police because he felt uneasy and did not want allegations to color the story.
After a certain period of time, the information became widely known, and Berk’s reputation began to suffer.
Then Berk expressed regret: “My apology admitted no wrongdoing, the usual ‘If I’ve done anything that upset Mr. Fraser, it was not intended, and I apologize.”

How did Brendan Fraser fare?
After being active in the Time’s out Campaign and the #MeToo movement, which motivated him to tell about it, Fraser made the decision to open out about having been sexually attacked.

Fraser seems to be in good health, has been living a healthy lifestyle, and has taken better care of his physical well-being.
But as of late, his health has been excellent, and he has been in several films; his most recent being The Whale, which was released in 2022.
