As we all know, Jessie Fleming began playing at a young age. She did, however, publicly commit to UCLA in December 2014 and began her career with the Bruins in August 2016. The football star made her debut on August 28 and scored twice in a 4-3 loss to Florida, just ten days after helping Canada win bronze at the Olympic Games.
Fleming was one of just two rookies to be chosen to the NSCAA All-America third team in 2016. She was named NSCAA All-Pacific Region, All-Pac-12, and All-Freshman, as well as Top Drawer Soccer Freshman of the Year. As a second-year player, Jessie also had a 20-point season, with six goals, three game-winners, and eight assists.
She was also named a Hermann Trophy finalist after scoring a goal and assisting UCLA to the College Cup final.
