Manuel Carlos Valls Galfetti known as Manuel Valls, a Spanish politician and dual citizen of Spain and France, represented Barcelona on the municipal council from 2019 to 2021.
He served as France’s prime minister under President Francois Hollande from 2014 to 2016. In the 2017 Socialist Party primary, he ran for president, but Benoit Hamon defeated him in the second round and gained the nomination.
