Even the honorary captain of last year’s spring game was named after her. Tracy’s speeches have been heard by tens of thousands of athletes on over one hundred college campuses.
Tracy asserts that their interactions led to the formation of a friendship. She asserts, however, that Tucker initiated nonconsensual phone intercourse on April 28, 2022.
Tracy is adamant that she did not authorize this conduct, and she filed a complaint with the school in December 2022.
Mel Tucker refuted Tracy’s claims in response to her complaint to the Title IX investigator retained by MSU to investigate the incident. Tucker was accosted by a USA Today reporter about the circumstance, but he declined to comment.
In March, he wrote to a Title IX investigator that “Ms. Tracy’s distortion of our mutually consensual and intimate relationship into allegations of sexual exploitation has really affected me.”
Tucker admitted that he was not particularly pleased with his judgment, but insisted that he had not violated any code of conduct.
