Questlove, whose real name is Ahmir K. Thompson, is an American musician, disc jockey, record producer, actor, filmmaker, and music journalist. He is one of the hip-hop group The Roots’ co-frontmen and drummers.
The Roots, who formerly had the same role on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, have been the in-house band for The Tonight Show, Starring Jimmy Fallon since 2014. Questlove’s Journey to Weight Loss
Questlove used to overindulge in food without thinking about the consequences to his health, which led to weight gain. Even after seeing a number of his friends die from strokes in their 40s, he continued to do this. Questlove started by making significant dietary changes as part of his lifestyle change. He gave up all of his unhealthy eating practices and started following a nutritious, well-balanced diet.
In his new diet, Questlove gave vegan meals top priority. But he steered clear of items high in carbohydrates, such dairy, wheat, and gluten. He focused on eating more fresh fruit and vegetables, especially greens. Apart from adhering to a diet, Questlove has been exhibiting other positive behaviors. He started adding other things into his life after realizing that maintaining a healthy diet was not the only way to live a healthier life.
Since starting the rigorous diet, Thompson has dropped 56 pounds, making his current weight of 350 pounds. While following a strict diet, the diligent DJ is not allowed to consume fruit, white carbs, or caloric beverages. Although Thompson is not permitted to eat the same meals every day, he is permitted to indulge in a binge dinner once a week.
