The Tacoma County prison has taken the great basketball star Shawn Kemp into custody. The male suspect in the shooting incident at Tocama Mall was 53 years old.
The agency has not yet provided an update about the matter, and further investigation is now underway. Shawn had previously been arrested for narcotics possession.
He was taken into custody in Shoreline, Washington in 2005 as part of a narcotics possession investigation. Along with a weapon and a small quantity of cocaine and marijuana (about 60 grams), Kemp and another guy were discovered. The athlete was found guilty and charged with drug possession, according to the Sheriff’s office report.
Shawn was arrested once again in 2006 in Texas for possession of marijuana. And now, in 2023, he is being held for the drive-by shooting at Tacoma Mall.
