The actor was seen in the May 16 footage relaxing on a sofa beside his podiatrist, Dr. Robert J. Joseph II. Despite having surgery, he seemed cheerful as he proudly displayed the bandages that were aiding in his recovery.

Dr. Joseph gave further information on the procedure, saying that it was required since one of his toes tended to flex inward, which was painful.

Hallux limitus was a condition brought on by a subluxated joint. The misplaced bone needed to be realigned in order to correct the problem, and screws had to be used to hold it in place.

Shemar had to wear a pad prior to surgery in order to alleviate the agony caused by the protruding bone. The actor from Criminal Minds is now on the road to a quick recovery after the operation went well.
