Is Simone Fontecchio Gay?

Simone Fontecchio of the Utah Jazz is not married or engaged. Despite this, he is linked to a lovely woman named Rosa Tangerini, thus he is not single. Tangerini’s present occupation is unknown, however, she is a sweet and compassionate girlfriend who always helps her partner in difficult situations.

She generally goes to the stadium to cheer him on when he plays. They have a beautiful daughter named Bianca. Although little else is known about the pair, they can be found on each other’s social networking sites, where they often post photos of themselves having fun with their child.

Simone’s sexual orientation is inconsequential because he is in a loving relationship with his girlfriend, who also happens to be the mother of his child. Apart from his current relationship, little is known about his previous ones.

Simone Fontecchio Parents

Simone Fontecchio was born in Pescara, Italy, on December 9, 1995, to parents Daniele Fontecchio and Amalia Pomilio. His father, Daniele, was a former Italian hurdler who finished second in the 60-meter hurdles at the European Indoor Championships, while his mother, Amalia, is a former basketball player and coach.

The athlete is not the only child in the family; he has an older brother, Luca. He also competed in Virtus’ youth programs and in lower categories. In 2011, Luca won a silver medal for his country at the Under-20 European Championships. He competed in the European Under-18 and Under-16 Championships in 2009 and 2007.

Except for his father, every member of the basketballer family has a basketball connection; in fact, his grandpa was a basketball player. He was born in Italy and so has Italian nationality, but his and his parents’ ethnic backgrounds are unclear as of today due to a lack of information about them on the internet or in the media.

Nonetheless, the athlete highlighted his mother in an interview and acknowledged her as a professional influence. His mother was a basketball player for AS Vicenza who represented Italy in two European championships.

Simone traveled from Pescara to Bologna at the age of 14 and shared housing with other young Virtus athletes. He signed a two-year contract with the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA) on July 17, 2022. On October 19, he made his NBA debut.

On December 7, the athlete hit the game-winning slam to defeat the Golden State Warriors 124-123. With 20 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals, he was the best scorer in Italy’s 2020 Summer Olympics basketball tournament. He was categorized as a player who “should be on NBA radars.”
