Warren was charged with felony sexual conduct with a juvenile and conspiracy to commit sexual conduct with a minor by Arizona authorities in 2005, according to A&E. Following that, he was charged with two counts of rape and convicted in Utah of conspiring to marry a 14-year-old girl to her 19-year-old relative.
However, the FBI stated that he had not been seen in public since 2004. According to A&E, Warren was added to the FBI’s list of the Ten Most Wanted Fugitives in May 2006. Finally, in August 2006, he was apprehended in Las Vegas while carrying $55,000 in cash and several mobile phones, wigs, and disguises.
Similarly, after being found guilty of two counts of rape as an accomplice in September 2007, the religious leader received a ten-year life sentence in Utah State Prison. However, due to inadequate jury instructions, the Utah Supreme Court overturned this conviction in 2010.
