On June 10, 1965, Andrea Kiewel was born in East Berlin. Growing up in the GDR, Andrea Kiewel was a competitive swimmer. After making an appearance on “Sat.1 Breakfast Television” in 1993, she rose to fame on TV in Germany.
After thereafter, she made appearances on other Saturday night shows on ZDF and received her own show, “Einstimm,” on RTL. She is now THE face of “TV Garden,” however, thanks to Martina Hill’s parody of her! How flattering!
In 2008, Andrea Kiewel was disqualified from overseeing “TV Garden.” But in 2007, there was a big TV scandal. It was alleged that “Weight Watchers” paid Kiwi to run undercover advertisements.
Her contract with the broadcaster ZDF was terminated, therefore she was unable to appear in front of the camera for “Fernsehengarten” during the 2008 season.
When questioned about her private life, Kiwi is less gregarious than she seemed to be on the ZDF program. The 58-year-old has been married three times and has two children.
In 1986, at the age of 19, she took the risk of walking down the aisle for the first time, giving birth to her son Max. Kiwi remarried at the age of 34, but the marriage lasted only a year.
Following the end of the “ZDF TV Garden” season, the special programs are now going on tour. Presenter Andrea Kiewel will also be making a comeback.
She has been presenting the Lerchenberg outdoor event for almost 20 years, but she took a year off in 2008.
