In BTS’ highlight reel, Yuna of ITZY explains her filming experiences, regrets, and film cuts.
The story of ITZY’s Yuna and BTS’s Jung Kook appearing in LOVE YOURSELF’s Highlight Reel is sure to never grow old. The 2017 music video quickly became a topic of discussion and is now an integral part of the Bangtan Universe or BU.
It has various now-idol girls, including Yuna, and gives significant plot context. In one of the scenarios, Yuna of ITZY prevents BTS’s Jung Kook from speeding up his wheelchair dangerously. The BTS member accepts her friendship offer when she extends her hand to him.
Yuna revealed in a 2020 V LIVE interview with Ryujin that she had a line for that scene, but it was removed because she sounded strange. Ryujin began the session by reminding Yuna that she had a dialogue. The youngest child of ITZY then recollected the following:
“‘Be cautious, it’s harmful,'” That is the case. Since I was a trainee at the time, the phrase, however, sounded like “Wait!” As it was my first time speaking in such a setting in front of so many staff members, I sounded very anxious.”
She then revealed how the team asked her to simply make a gesture and how the dialogue was finally cut.
“They asked me to eliminate “It’s harmful” from “Wait, it’s hazardous.” Then they said, “Yuna, just raise your hand,” so eliminating my line. I believe I can perform more effectively today.”
Prior to addressing the debate, Yuna of ITZY stated that she felt miserable without makeup. While other women used cosmetics and lipstick, the Crazy in Love actress needed to appear unwell for her role. Ryujin, another member of ITZY, also appeared in the video.
She depicted the dance partner of J-hope and Jimin. The LOVE YOURSELF Highlight Reel, which was released on August 18, 2017, currently has 33,1 million views on YouTube. It is one of those videos that frequently arises in conversations of nostalgia between ITZY and BTS fans.
