Jose Juan Barea Mora, also known as J. J. Barea, is a professional basketball player from Puerto Rico who most recently played for the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks (NBA). The Dallas Mavericks waived him on December 10, 2020. He started his basketball career at Northeastern University before joining the Mavericks in 2006, making him the eighth Puerto Rican player in the NBA. Among other leagues, he has played in the NBA Development League and the Baloncesto Superior Nacional.
