Larry and Pam Sock raised Jack. Larry and Pam married on July 30, 1989, in Hawaii, according to the former’s Facebook page.
Pamela Sue is Jack’s mother’s given name. Pam is Larry’s ten-year-old sister. However, the specifics of how the two met remain unknown. Jack Sock’s parents have likewise only appeared in a few frames. In truth, Jack’s mother, Pamela, isn’t as involved in social activities as her husband and Jack’s father.

Larry, Sock’s father, used to be a financial counselor. Larry, a Norfolk, Nebraska native, is now the senior vice president of wealth management at UBS Financial Services. According to Sock Sr, his organization offers significant financial planning professionals and knowledge in wealth planning.
Larry joined UBS Financial Services in February 2009 and has been an important component of the company ever since. He also serves on the Junior Achievement Board of Directors. Sock worked at Merrill Lynch in Lincoln, Nebraska, for more than 27 years, from January 1982 until February 2009.
Larry Sock was also the president and board chairman of the Nebraska Golf Association.
Larry Sock, the Sock patriarch, studied Business Administration at Oklahoma State University from 1973 to 1976. He also appears to have earned a BBA with a minor in marketing from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Larry, Jack’s father, was a collegiate golfer.
Larry Sock, a long-time Nebraska native, was also an NCAA athlete. He did, however, play golf at Oklahoma State before transferring to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is also a multiple-time amateur golf champion in Nebraska.
Meanwhile, Sock’s father, Larry, is still a golf devotee. He frequently visits and participates in recreational clubs. The father of two is also a volunteer, serving on the Junior Achievement Board of Directors in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Larry was the son of the late Gene Shock and Donna Shock. Gene was a local businessman who died in June 2015. He was involved in groups such as the Norfolk Chamber of Commerce, Norfolk Catholic Schools, the Norfolk County Club, and the Knights of Columbus.
Larry’s father and mother moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in 1987, and owned family furniture stores there until 2005. Larry’s father, like Larry, was a golf enthusiast.
Donna, Jack’s biological grandma (and Larry’s mother), died in March 2019. Donna, like her late husband, was involved with Norfolk Catholic Schools and the Norfolk Country Club. Later in life, she was active in Atlanta’s St Brendan’s Catholic Church and the Alpharetta Bridge Club.
Larry also has three brothers as siblings. He appears to be Gene and Donna’s second son. His brothers are Ron of High Point, North Carolina, Randy of Roswell, Georgia, and Jim of Alpharetta, Georgia, according to a 2015 document.
On the other side, little is known about Jack’s mother, Pam, or her family. Nonetheless, it has been assumed that she works in the horse breeding industry.
Jack Sock’s parents made significant sacrifices for his career.
Sock credits his parents with helping him become a professional tennis player. When chatting with Sports Illustrated about it, the former Olympic gold winner stated,
It all starts with my family, who have made so many sacrifices for me, including my parents moving away from one other when we were little for tennis.
Sock also disclosed that his father stayed in Lincoln to work while his mother drove him to Kansas City for his weekend training.
In fact, when Jack later moved to Kansas City, his parents couldn’t live together, with his mother moving with Sock and his older brother and his father remaining in Lincoln to continue working as a financial counselor.
Sock Has a Big Brother
Eric Shock, Jack’s older brother, is also a tennis player. Jack worked out at the Mike Wolf Tennis Academy with his brother. The brother combo also played doubles in high school. They also won the state championship together. Eric, like his brother, is a former University of Nebraska-Lincoln student.
Eric, Jack’s older brother, has played some ATP matches but has never gained enough points to make the ATP rankings.
Eric is presently a tennis pro at Elite Squad Tennis Club. He formerly worked in the health, wellness, and fitness industries.
Eric was in the headlines in January 2015 for his fragile health owing to Lemierre’s disease. In a later interview, Jack said that physicians told him at the time that his older brother had only hours to survive. Eric apparently developed bilateral pneumonia in both lungs. In one day, the infection attacked his liver, lungs, kidneys, and heart.
Fortunately, Jack’s sibling survived after the doctors removed all of his infections.
