Bam Margera, On Thursday, officials announced that the creator and star of the MTV program Jackass has turned himself into Pennsylvania police over an alleged physical altercation with his brother.
Monday saw the issuance of an arrest warrant for Brandon “Bam” Margera, according to court documents.
The reality sensation was released on bond after a $50,000 (£40,000) bond was set.
Mr. Margera is charged with assault, harassment, and threats of terrorism. His attorney informed US media outlets that he has pled not guilty.
Before police arrived at Mr. Margera’s residence in Chester County, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, he reportedly fled into the woods.
Court documents indicate that troopers responded to a domestic disturbance call at the residence.
Mr. Margera’s brother, the musician Jesse Margera, reported to police that the reality star had pounded and kicked on his bedroom door and left a note warning him not to contact the police.
Later, while the two brothers were in the kitchen, Bam Margera allegedly began striking and hitting his brother in the face.
According to the documents, he threatened to murder his brother and others inside the residence.
Thursday, Bam Margera’s attorney informed reporters outside the courthouse that his client was presumed innocent.
“Families are constantly engaged in conflict. Every family has conflict. According to NBC, attorney Michael van der Veen stated that this dispute should not be resolved through the courts or media.
Mr. Margera, a former professional skateboarder, rose to fame in the early 2000s as one of the stars of the MTV reality program Jackass, which featured dangerous pranks and stunts.
The preliminary hearing for Mr. Margera has been scheduled for May 25 in Pennsylvania, according to the police.
