Jackson also went to Worcester Academy and was coached by Jeremy Bandya. The UAB Blazers, Ole Miss Rebels, and Nebraska Cornhuskers have extended offers to members of the Class of 2020. He committed to the Rhode Island Rams on August 14, 2020. He has not yet enrolled.

Jackson redshirted and did not appear in any games in 2021. He joined the squad in the spring semester of the 2020 season as a freshman and was allowed to practice but not play. He was selected the 6A Player of the Week, Preseason Top Coastal Players, Adidas Elite Gauntlet Team, All-Area 1st Team Sophomore Season, and Leading Rebounder as a sophomore.
In addition to football, he enjoys basketball and soccer. He was a four-year letterman in the game and also played AAU basketball for Atlanta’s Game Elite. Jackson Burkhalter is 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 225 pounds. He is said to have the height and arm power those programs require. He also works on his footwork and throwing techniques. They went undefeated in 2014 and concluded the year with a 6-2 record. Jackson finished the season with a 700-yard passing average, nine touchdowns, and two interceptions.
