Jacqui Joseph was born in Jamaica and comes from a family of decorators and design experts. Her father was a decorator and plasterer, and her mother was a seamstress who made their special occasion clothing.

Jacqui previously revealed on Twitter that her husband Andrew died on New Year’s Day 2018 following an eight-month cancer battle.

After a few weeks of grieving her husband’s death, she explained to her social media family, beginning with, “It’s difficult to keep what I’m about to say brief, but I’ll try…”

She continued, “Andrew was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in April 2017 after undergoing numerous tests, biopsies, scans, X-Rays, and being unable to eat properly. He was fitted with a feeding tube and then underwent three cycles of chemotherapy.”

Jacqui emphasized Andrew was in good health and the chemo was effective, so the lengthy nine-hour operation to remove the tumor was scheduled for September of the following year. However, on the day of surgery, surgeons discovered that the hat dreaded cancer had spread to his liver, and it was in a bad way.

“My husband was so courageous; he never complained, faced the situation head-on, and simply got on with it; of course, he had some bad days….to be expected! He was my valiant, dignified soldier who continued to work for his business during the worst of the illness.”

As a result, he died peacefully at home at the age of 54. Jacqui and her family celebrated “Andrew’s Day” with a ritual at the church in Kensington where they have married over 14 years ago. And, instead of flowers, they requested donations to Macmillan Cancer Support, Pembridge Hospice Home Services, and the Brent District Nurses.

Andrew is survived by his wife Jacqui and one child, Bianca Jade Joseph. Jacqui has repeatedly hinted at how “exceptional” her daughter is.
