He scored touchdowns in each of TCU’s final four games, including the team’s first-ever appearance in the Big 12 Championship Game and a victory over Stanford in the 2017 Alamo Bowl. After a strong season, he was named “Co-Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year.”
He was reassigned to jersey number 1 before his sophomore season, from the number 18 he wore in 2017. He had a streak of seven consecutive games with a receiving touchdown, including a win over Oklahoma State in which he also had his first 100-yard rushing game. Jalen was selected 2nd-team All-Big 12 after a season in which he had 43 receptions for 611 yards. Jalen declared for the 2020 NFL Draft after this season, foregoing his last year of eligibility.
