Moreover, despite receiving offers from Louisville, Marshall, North Carolina, UCF, South Carolina, Ole Miss, and Wake Forest, he chose Clemson in February 2015. Skalski had 14 tackles as a freshman in 2016, with eight of them coming on special teams.

He was second on the team in tackles as a redshirt junior in 2019, with 105, including 7.5 for loss, 4.5 sacks, four pass breakups, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery.
