An American actress and singer by the name of Janel Meilani Parrish Ling. In the famous mystery-drama television series “Pretty Little Liars” (2010-2017) and its spinoff “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists” (2019), she rose to fame for her portrayal as Mona Vanderwaal.
She also portrayed Margot Covey in the “To All the Boys” movie series from 2018 to 2021.
In addition, Janel played Young Cosette on Broadway in “Les Miserables” in 1996 and played Jade in the adolescent comedy “Bratz” in 2007.

Parents of Janel Parrish While Mark Parrish, Joanne’s father, is of German, Irish, and English origin, Joanne is of Han Chinese descent.
Parrish was raised in Honolulu and California while she was a teenager. She was born in Kaneohe, Honolulu, Hawaii.
She first became passionate about performing when she was nine years old and saw a performance of The Phantom of the Opera.
Within a year, she began piano lessons and began acting, singing, tap dancing, and jazz dance classes.
The musician and actress competed in several talent shows and won acclaim from the Oahu locals.
She participated in the 2003 Star Search remake as a 14-year-old, singing “On My Own” from Les Miserables.
She started out going to Moanalua Elementary School and then went to Moanalua High School for her freshman year.
To support her pursuit of a career in the entertainment industry, Parrish and her family moved to Burbank, Los Angeles when she was 14 years old. She was consequently home-schooled to fit her job schedule.

Parrish started dating chemical engineer Chris Long in September 2016.
On October 23, 2017, they announced their engagement, and on September 8, 2018, they exchanged vows at Kualoa Ranch in Oahu, Hawaii.
Tragically, only two weeks before the wedding, Long’s father passed away in a drunk driving accident.
Parrish said their wedding day was quite lovely despite the tragic circumstances.
It began to rain severely as Chris spoke about his late father during their vows, producing a touching moment that affected everyone there.
In 2019, Janel talked about this emotional event with ET, stating that no one could keep their eyes dry due to the moment’s overpowering beauty.
