On June 23rd, 2021, the police discovered Janice’s husband dead in his jail. He was incarcerated at the Brians 2 Penitentiary Center, which is located near Barcelona. His death occurred on the same day that a Spanish court ordered his extradition to the US.

An official autopsy confirmed the suicide case. Shortly after the authorities reported him, he committed suicide by hanging.

She believes her husband, John McAfee, did not commit suicide.
