Jansen Panettiere Passed Away At The Age Of 28

Jansen Panettiere, Hayden Panettiere’s brother, died on February 19, 2023, at the age of 28 in New York. Jansen’s cause of death is currently unknown.

He became well-known for his role as Casper in the AMC series The Walking Dead. Actor Charles Heimlich paid tribute to him on Facebook, writing:

“I only recently learned of Jansen Panettiere’s death. I’m speechless because this is so heartbreaking. My thoughts are with him and his family. “Please accept my heartfelt condolences and prayers.”

The actress Leslie K Nelson shared a photo of Jansen and Hayden on Facebook, writing that she remembered Jansen running around and playing with her daughter and several other kids at Oakwood. The message continued:

“She’s kind of quiet, with a wicked smile. Young man, rest in peace. Jansen Charz, Hayden Panettiere.”

Jansen Panettiere portrayed Casper in The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 15

Jansen Panettiere is best known for her portrayal of Casper on AMC’s The Walking Dead. The character was a Hilltop Colony resident who survived a zombie outbreak. His appearance was in The Calm Before, episode 15 of Season 9 of the show. Casper, like Hilde, Miles, and Martin, eventually left the village, riding to a fair in a horse-drawn wagon.

On the way, however, they are attacked and killed by Alpha. Casper eventually transforms into a zombie and is discovered in the woods by Daryl, Michonne, Carol, and Yumiko. Yumiko shoots him in the head with an arrow before he can inflict any harm on anyone.

Yumiko was the series’ first named character to die. The Walking Dead ran for 11 seasons and 177 episodes between October 31, 2010, and November 20, 2022. Fear the Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, Tales of the Walking Dead, and other spin-off shows came after.

Jansen Panettiere’s career in the entertainment industry

Jansen first appeared on the Disney Channel in the comedy series Even Stevens. Following that, he appeared in two more series, Hope & Faith and Third Watch. He became well-known for his role as Joey in the 2004 television film Tiger Cruise.
