Jason McMahan is accused of being engaged in a fatal Chicago shooting in April outside the House of Blues in River North Chicago.
Jason McMahan, 36, is facing felony counts of attempted first-degree murder, first-degree murder, and aggravated violence.
On April 30, a 26-year-old woman and another woman were killed in a shooting on State Street near Kinzie.
According to police, the suspect pulled out a revolver and shot both victims many times after a disagreement between the two women. McMahan is scheduled to appear in bond court on Wednesday.

According to Chicago Police, a 36-year-old man has been charged with a double shooting in River North last year that resulted in the death of one sister and the injuring of another.
Jason McMahan is charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and issuance of a warrant.
Tashawnna Anderson, 26, was shot and killed by McMahan shortly after one a.m. on April 30, according to CPD. LaShawn Anderson, 31, was badly hurt as well.
According to family, Tashawnna Anderson observed her friend’s boyfriend with another woman while the sisters were inside the 10Pin Bowling Lounge in River North.
Tashawnna Anderson and a companion went outdoors later that evening to confront the boyfriend in the 300 block of North State Street.
LaShawn Anderson claimed to have seen the man emerge from the passenger side of the car, punch her cousin to the ground, and then turn to face the two sisters.
Both of them could reach the other right where LaShawn Anderson stated she tried terribly to save her sister’s life.
“He shot me!” she yelled. “He murdered me,” she said. “I was applying pressure to her wound in order to stop the bleeding,” she explained.
Tashawnna Anderson failed because the alleged shooter was left in a car.
“What drove you to murder my sister?” She wasn’t even arguing with him! She wasn’t even arguing with him. She was defending a friend, “LaShawn Anderson stated at the time.
“Tell her daughter that she is loved,” she said. She then ceased breathing.”
LaShawn Anderson was shot in the thigh after witnessing her sister take her last breath, leaving her with little mobility.
What happened to him? Is it better to go to jail or prison?
is presently being held by police, but no further information about him has been made public because the case is still very sensitive.
However, we do know that the killer will appear in court on Wednesday, and we hope that he will be sentenced to life in jail for wrecking the life of an innocent girl.
