Law enforcement officers have located the remains of their family member Jason Salter, who was reported missing from Georgia.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has identified the corpse as that of one of the two closest friends and coworkers from East Point who vanished in February.
A second set of bones, however, have not yet been located and are in the process of being buried.
Once the authorities have finished their inquiry, new information about the case can surface as the investigation goes forward.

Jason Salter and Kenny Guerra, two missing business partners from College Park, are still being sought for.
The two were last seen on February 25 in the East Point neighborhood of Campbellton and Headland, and Salter’s vehicle was subsequently discovered at the city’s Family Dollar parking lot. Their printing company was jointly owned by them.
Since Jason and Kenny vanished, their friends and family have been actively looking for them. They have used a variety of tactics, such as posting fliers throughout the neighborhood, to try to find the two dads who also happened to be best friends and business partners.
During one of the searches, Courtney Stephens, a friend of Salter, revealed to FOX 5 that Salter had gone to see Kenny Guerra while he was supposed to be at home with his younger kid.
He never did, however, and after a while, they started to worry about Salter and reported him missing.
Investigations are underway as the case is being handled by the police as a homicide. On Tuesday at 3 p.m., the Jason Salter family is anticipated to hold a news conference to discuss the finding of his remains.
During the news conference, further details about the case can be released.

Jason Salter, who had been missing since February along with his closest buddy, has been identified as one of the suspected remains of two people recovered close to the Chattahoochee River’s bank by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Dental data were used to identify Salter, and the family was notified of the title on Monday morning. The second set of remains’ identities have not yet been made public.
Nobody anticipated this kind of news; everyone assumed Jason would return home unharmed.

People are naturally worried about what happened to Jason’s closest buddy, Kenny Guerra, given that only one set of the two sets of bones discovered close to the Chattahoochee River has been recognized as Jason.
East Point is around 25 miles away from the property where the remains were discovered.
Although the cause of death has not been disclosed, the police are looking into Jason Salter’s death as a possible murder. Family members of Salter and Guerra referred to them as “pillars of the community” and said they were well-liked.
Family members have appealed for anybody with knowledge about the case to come forward so that authorities can figure out what occurred and who is to blame for the victims’ deaths.
No information on Jason’s whereabouts or the discovery of his death has surfaced. Over a month has passed since the matter was taken up by the police.
