According to press reports, Jayru Campbell, a former Ferris State University quarterback, is being detained at the Oakland County Jail after an incident over the weekend at an Auburn Hills mental health facility.
Campbell Campbell, who turns 26 on Tuesday, posted the incident with the local police on his Facebook page. He shared two videos of the altercation. Campbell is seen cradling a small kid in one of the clips, which has a length of more than eight minutes. Campbell had a daughter in the year 2020.

According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, Campbell is now being held in the jail pending charges and an arraignment. According to the office, he was imprisoned on Christmas Day.
Campbell has had past run-ins with the law. On May 30, 2014, he was sentenced to 60 days in prison for a minor assault charge and a plea agreement involving an incident with a high school security guard.
At the time, the football sensation was 17 years old and a junior. He was arrested in his senior year after an incident with his girlfriend.
