What Actions Took Jayson Williams? Injury Update
Jayson Williams shot Costas Christofi, his limo driver, in 2002 at the latter’s New Jersey residence. Williams was showing off a 12-gauge shotgun to his pals when he failed to properly inspect it; when he turned to face Christofi, who was close, he slammed the barrel shut, setting off the gun.
Williams made an effort to suggest that Christofi shot himself after being shot. According to his lawyers, the gunshot was an accident, and the effort at deceit was the product of fear.
In 2010, Jayson pleaded guilty to aggravated assault. The girls claim that Jayson never showed contrition for the incident’s effects on them. Whizdom claimed that she was aware that she couldn’t change her father’s personality or the way he felt about or treated her.

Due to an incident last month in Manhattan where Williams is said to have cut across three lanes of traffic while intoxicated and slammed his car into a tree, Williams still has a DWI case ongoing in New York.
Christofi was employed by Williams for the evening of February 13, 2002, to drive guests in a van to a Harlem Globetrotters game at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania. Christofi had apparently turned his own problematic life around in recent years.

Williams also apologized to his family, stating, “Please accept my apology for the suffering I have caused you. In only 18 months, I’ll be able to apply for parole. You ought to have better siblings, fathers, and sons than I did.
His long-standing alcoholism was constantly brought up throughout the sentencing hearing in a Somerville, New Jersey courtroom, including the fact that he drank shots the night that Christofi died. “To my community, church, and NBA friends,” Williams stated, “I regret letting you down.”
Andrea Adams, Christofi’s sister, protested to his punishment, which was predetermined by a plea deal Williams initiated with his guilty plea last month. A prosecutor read a letter out loud to Andrea Adams.
