In April 2017, Cook stopped traveling because the illness was affecting his health. In a statement, he explained to his supporters how the disease impacted his balance and coordination and caused tremors.

This has made trying to play the guitar, violin, or sing for me quite difficult. Because I don’t want the music or the party to stop, I’ve tried not to bother people with the details of my health. And no matter what, that won’t change.

“I’m not giving up, but sometimes our bodies tell us what to do, and mine is telling me it’s time to rest and recover,” the speaker said.

Randy In order to get the water bottle, Owen reached across the table. Cook struggled to open it, snapped off the top, and gave it back to him after reading the statement to the journalists from USA Today. It hurts, Owen said, because people think Cook is drunk when he is not.

When Cook was unable to throw his fishing bait accurately, he realized something was wrong. The next thing was having some issues playing specific notes on the guitar. Cook’s doctor suggested he could have Parkinson’s disease, which caused Randy and Teddy to worry that he had suffered a stroke. The results of the subsequent test confirmed his concerns.
