As investigations into Jeff Mwathi death took a new turn on Friday, March 10, more people are looking for information about the case.
After falling from the tenth storey of a home in the Kasarani neighborhood on February 22, Jeff Mwathi passed tragically. Along with four other people, he died in the residence of the Kikuyu musician DJ Fatxo.
Mwathi is alleged to have fallen from the 10th story sometime after 5 o’clock. The musician was away when the incident occurred. Mwathi, DJ Fatxo, two other guys, two ladies, and other individuals were reportedly present at the House.
Homicide investigators are concentrating on the killing of a young Jeff Mwathi. The investigators stationed at the DCI headquarters in Nairobi took up the preliminary investigations from the officers at the Kasarani Police Station.
A prompt investigation into the death of Jeff Mwathi had been requested by Director of Criminal Investigations Mohamed Amin.
The DCI gave the public the assurance that the case would be thoroughly examined and that anyone found to have been accountable for the killing would face the harshest legal penalties.

According to detectives who visited DJ Fatxo’s flat, the window Mwathi is alleged to have jumped from had grills, making it hard for an adult to jump through. Detectives are currently discussing whether the 23-year-old’s fall from the balcony was accidental.
Additionally, it was noted that the building’s CCTV footage did not clearly depict the precise spot where Mwathi fell. The video showed only his body when it hit the ground.
But according to reports, while they try to figure out how the interior designer died, the police will keep pursuing both leads.
A new angle emerged after homicide investigators visited the flats to gather data that might be helpful in the case. DCI detectives reenacted the situation where the interior designer’s death was found on the first level at the DJ’s residence.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki became involved in the Mwathi murder inquiry, which was then handed off to homicide detectives. Kindiki claims that in order to dispel suspicions of a coverup, the matter was sent to the headquarters.
Faith Wairimu On the Death of Jeff Mwathi
One of the two ladies, Faith Mutanu, reportedly got in touch with Mwathi’s lover, Faith Wairimu, to inquire about his whereabouts.
Wairimu thought back to the conflicting information she had gleaned from Mutanu, who had not told her specifically about the unfortunate occurrence.
Wairimu was the first to be questioned by Mutanu over seeing Mwathi that morning. Afterwards, Mutanu disclosed that Mwathi had spent the evening drinking with his gang and had occasionally caused trouble.
After giving her original justification, she promised to call Wairimu in 20 minutes once she knew where he was. Since she didn’t call as she had promised, Wairimu called her to find out what was going on since Mwathi hadn’t been mentioned yet.
Mwathi had been observed leaving the House without his shoes or jacket, according to Mutanu on the other line. She added that nobody had really fled the building, though, since doing so would have required the occupants’ biometrics, which Mwathi lacked.
Unfortunately, no further information about Jeff Mwathi’s passing was found because the situation is still delicate and the Police haven’t revealed much.
