Health Update On Jeff Ross: Does He Have Cancer?

Rumors about Jeff Ross’ sickness are unfounded since the comedian is well and busy doing stand-up performances. The 57-year-old is now performing on a US Tour. The first stop of Jeff Ross’ 2023 Life & Death Tour was Brea, California, on February 24. The last stop is in Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 11.

The tour is scheduled to stop in 14 different American cities, with the last performance taking place in Huntsville, Alabama, on June 2 and 3. Therefore, the notion that comedian Jeff Ross is unwell is untrue since Ross is currently performing and traveling in the US and is in otherwise good condition. Ross is free of cancer. However, the comedian has been outspoken about his alopecia-related baldness and hair loss.

The condition of Jeff Ross is alopecia

Due to his Alopecia condition, American comedian Jeff Ross has irreversible hair loss on his head. The 57-year-old authored “And the Oscar Goes to… Alopecia” for LA Mag in April of last year. Ross said in the report that he learned he had alopecia some years before.

The disorder that causes hair loss, alopecia, is most often seen in males and is brought on by hormonal changes, inheritance, illnesses, or age. Ross said that after seeing a clump of hair erupting in his palm at first, he quickly became bald. His eyelashes then followed his eyebrows in disappearing. Ross started to fear that the lack of hair on his head might endanger his career as a comedian.

However, Jeff came to accept his baldness after seeing his doctor and learning that it is a common ailment and not a life-threatening one. The 57-year-old argued that the Oscars last year and the brutal slap from Will Smith on Chris Rock marked a turning point in the public’s understanding of alopecia.

Jada Pinkett Smith, the wife of the Best Actor Oscar winner, showed up to the ceremony sans a wig, embracing her baldness after previously disclosing that she has alopecia.

However, Chris Rock made fun of Jada’s shaved head and compared her to Demi Moore’s bald appearance in G.I. Jane without knowing that she had alopecia. In fact, after the painful Oscar event, alopecia awareness rose substantially. As a result, Jeff Ross correctly said that Alopecia was the actual Oscar winner in 2016.
