Jeffree Star Stated That James And Tati Scandal Ruined The Beauty Community

Jeffree Star

Jeffree Star, YouTube’s richest cosmetics artist, appeared on Logan Paul’s podcast Impaulsive on June 15, 2022. Star talked about everything from hooking up with Kanye West and NBA, NFL, and golf players to living in Wyoming with 100 firearms and 1000 yaks.

He also discussed the demise of the YouTube beauty community in 2019, dubbed “Dramageddon 2.0.” Shane Dawson, a YouTube conspiracy theorist and documentarian, and beauty experts Tati Westbrook and James Charles were at the center of the drama. Westbrook made claims against her former friend and protégé, Charles, in a YouTube video titled “Bye Sister.”

In the video, Westbrook claimed that Charles had been predatory toward other adolescent boys who did not identify as homosexual. The allegations were damning, and Charles lost thousands of followers and large advertising contracts overnight. Following that, Charles released a video titled ‘No More Lies,’ in which he detailed everything using real facts.

Jeffree Star is to blame. Tati Westbrook and James Charles for the Decline of the Beauty Community

Star, who claimed to have knowledge of Charles’ predatory behavior, corroborated Tati’s statements. Unfortunately, he never provided any proof to back up his claims and later stated that he didn’t know if they were true. Westbrook returned to YouTube on June 30, 2022, after a year-long hiatus following the ‘Bye Sister’ controversy, alleging that everything she had written about Charles was poisoned falsehoods provided to her by Dawson and Star.

After Westbook’s video was released, Dawson and Star went on a social media rant about how the beauty expert was lying. Unfortunately, internet users began searching for Dawson’s previous bad behavior and discovered racist and pedophilic tweets. Dawson lost over a million YouTube subscribers and billions of views after being forced to delete old footage.

He later apologized in a video and deleted his social media accounts. Netizens attempted to cancel Star as well, and he vanished from social media. Due to the volatility and toxicity, Star stated on the Impulsive show that the YouTube beauty community was “basically dead.” He also claimed that people tried to discredit him.

“People were horrible, and they wanted to make me a villain because I and Shane had the most successful and largest launch in cosmetics history, and people became enraged at how successful we became and tried to bring us down,” she says.

Star stated. He went on to say that the “James and Tati” saga destroyed the beauty community and emotionally harmed him.

The Autobiography of Jeffree Star Will Address the Drama

Star revealed nothing about the drama in the podcast, but fans can read his account of Dramageddon 2.0 in his book. In an interview with Women’s Wear Daily, the YouTuber discussed the state of his brand market and his autobiography while promoting his new skincare line. In his new book, Star stated that he would reflect on his interpretation of the Dramageddon.

“I believe there was a tipping point with the Dramageddon events and these things that just made the beauty community and business strange,” he explained.

He stated that he had no idea how or when the incident took place, but that he was writing a book and telling the truth from his point of view. Star found it refreshing to see people who were interested in facts and knowledge rather than drama.
