On the one hand, Trump believed Clark had been installed as the head of the Justice Department because acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen declined to assist throughout the process. He also refused to lend the power to assert Trump’s bogus exclamations and therefore backed out, knowing that many judicial officials have resigned from their departments and he would have to do the same if he made the adjustments.
Controversy
Clark resigned on January 14, 2021, after becoming embroiled in the issue around the change in election results. Clark was named acting chief of the Justice Department’s civil division while seeking the endorsement of Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey A. Rosen. Clark tried his best after being nominated to the job to look after the government cases and unsuccessfully defamed the case against President Trump.
In June 2022, federal agents raided Clark’s home, who had previously assisted Trump’s assertions of fraudulent claims of fraud in the 2020 Presidential election process. The name of the federation department behind the investigations and raid on his home has not been revealed, but it is believed that the department attempted to broaden the criminal investigation into Clark’s efforts to overturn the decision of the body or authorities in the case of the 2020 Presidential Elections.
