Starks maintains he gave Justice’s mother the benefit of the doubt despite his doubts.
He said that he didn’t want to give her back on Sunday because he had her from Wednesday afternoon until Sunday night. He apologized for being the last person to see her.
Starks asserts that he was textually informed that his daughter had fallen and had significant brain damage.
According to Starks, Justice was already encircled by breathing tubes, a ventilator, and eight IVs when he arrived at the hospital. Justice was eventually determined to have brain death and passed away on December 1.
