Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy, the legendary DWTS (Dancing With The Stars) couple, have given birth to their first child. Jenna and Val from DWTS welcomed their son on January 10, 2023.
Jenna took to social media to inform her followers of the birth of their child. She called it:
“On October 1, 2023, our world will be irreversibly altered.”
In a monochrome photograph, Jenna and Val were clutching the hands of their newborn bundle of joy. Jenna announced her pregnancy in July of last year. The DWTS contestant wrote on Instagram:
“This is our most cherished dream. Chmerkovskiy’s baby is due in January! My heart has grown beyond description as I nurtured this tiny marvel within me. We can’t wait to meet our lovely angel.”
Jenna was open about her infertility issues before the birth of their child. On social media, the DWTS contestant shared the following video:
“That was the turning point in my life. We had stopped trying for about 6 months to give ourselves a mental/emotional break… So the awe, amazement, and absolute ecstasy I feel right now will stay with me forever.”
Jenna and Val married in 2019, and the gender of their child will be revealed in August 2022. Jenna and Val first met when the new mother joined the DWTS cast in 2014
Jenna and Val first met when the SYTYCD graduate joined the DWTS cast. Val had already been a part of it since season 13 when it first aired in 2011. They started out as friends but began dating a year later, in 2015.
They dated for a few months before calling it quits. Val briefly dated Amber Rose before returning to Jenna. Val proposed to Jenna on one knee during a romantic trip to Italy in June 2018. In an exclusive interview with US Weekly, Val revealed:
“I knew Jenna was the one when I saw how close she is to her family and how she interacts with her nieces and nephews. I value family, and I can’t wait to start one with you.”
They married not long after. They married in April of this year. They told US Weekly that they want to have children in September 2020:
“I’d like to have children. Val is in desperate need of children. We definitely talked about it. That is our fate. That’s what we’re hoping for if it occurs. There’s an old adage that there’s no such thing as a good time, but I believe we just want to figure things out and then let things happen when they’re supposed to happen.”
