With his single “Like Crazy,” Jimin of the K-pop ensemble BTS became the first South Korean solo artist to reach number one on the songs chart in the United States.
This week, the seductive slow groove debuted at the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, which is determined by sales, streaming activity, and radio airplay.
The 27-year-old athlete celebrated the record on Instagram, where he has 49 million followers, and shared the chart with them.
In the year 2020, BTS was the first act from South Korea to reach number one on the Billboard charts.
The immensely successful boy band stated that they will be going on a break to pursue individual projects and rest. In addition, members are finishing their time in the armed forces.
Industry observers believe that Jimin’s success with Like Crazy is a reflection of the group’s continuous fandom around the world.
With six songs that have reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, including “Dynamite” and “Butter,” BTS has become the vanguard of K-Pop music in the United States.
According to the industry tracker IFPI, the septet consisted of members Jimin, RM, Jungkook, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, and V, and they were the second best-selling artist in the world in 2017. Taylor Swift was the artist who had the most sales in the previous year.
When they launched a significant album the year before, they were the most successful artist.
